Key Experience:	Since 1999 I have been operating Jaspell Services Limited and serving as an employee/locum thereof on contracts through agencies at large consultancy firms or working in local government departments. Assignments were mainly in civil engineering design offices on highways major schemes in Essex, such as Sadlers Farm Junction Improvement and Roscommon Way Extension, but others included traffic, development control and highway adoption departments. In the 1990s major projects for which I was responsible for design included the Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge approach road and bridge end complex infrastructure design; Paksey Bridge Project highway design team leader in Bangladesh; Merthyr-Tydfil A470 Pentrebach to Cefn Coed design and project management. In the 1980s and 1970s I was a supervisor of construction of the East-West Interconnector on the River Jamuna in Bangladesh and of the Thames Barrier in London. My 38 years in civil engineering since 1972 have ranged up to project management and now Principal Engineer role on conceptual through to detail design. Project control included working with Government officials and the public in UK and Bangladesh. I have also provided civil engineering instruction, training and translations in foreign languages.
